If a tie persists, the candidate born earlier is preferred.
- For
Final Selection: Marks of Written Test and Computer Skill Test are
combined. In case of a tie, the written test score takes priority. If a
tie remains, the older candidate by date of birth is selected.
📝 How to Apply Online
- Visit
the official website of the State Selection Board, Odisha: www.ssbodisha.ac.in.
- Click
on the online application link available on the homepage designated for
Junior Assistant recruitment in CHSE (O) under Advt No. 03/2026.
- Read
the detailed instructions page carefully before starting the application
form entry.
- Fill
in all personal, academic, and contact details. Enter your aggregate
graduation percentage precisely (convert CGPA using your university
formula).
- Upload
your latest passport-size photograph (taken within 15 days before
submission), a scanned image of your full signature, and your left-hand
thumb impression. Ensure all images are clearly visible.
- Pay
the non-refundable application fee (₹500 for general categories, ₹200 for
SC/ST) online through the integrated payment gateway.
- Verify
all information carefully before clicking submit. Note that there is no
edit option after final submission.
- Download
the successfully completed application form printout and save a copy for
the document verification phase.
⚠️ 3 Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Entering
Raw CGPA Without Numerical Conversion: The board strictly requires the
entry of the exact percentage of aggregate marks for the undergraduate
degree. Failing to apply your university's official conversion formula can
cause a tie-breaker disqualification.
- Using
Old or Unidentifiable Photographs: The passport-size photograph must
be taken within 15 days of your application submission. Uploading blurred
images, unclear signatures, or faint left-hand thumb impressions will lead
to immediate application rejection.
- Attempting
to Change Category Post-Payment: The category selected during the
online payment process is treated as final. The board explicitly states
that subsequent requests to alter category status under any circumstances
will not be entertained.
